The Project
On farmland in rural Hertfordshire, a collection of disused agricultural buildings from an old dairy farm have been converted for residential use.
To date, a large barn has been turned into three residences, a 2-bedroom house, a 3-bedroom house and the largest, a 4-bedroom property.

With further derelict buildings on the same site, the hope is to continue to gain permission to repurpose these also for residential use.
Throughout the development, window openings are generally sizeable, for light and impact, as well as carefully chosen windows to frame particular views across the nearby fields.

Feature Entrance
Creating a dramatic feature and allowing a flood of light into the hallway, this double height selection of entrance door and casement windows is the centrepiece of the 4-bedroom property. Complementing the barn aesthetic is a ‘Jet Black’ finish externally along with ‘Signal White’ internally. Understated 316 coastal grade Stainless Steel hardware completes the look.
French Doors
Classically styled French doors in a matching finish to the entrance way, make the most of the views and maximise glazing area. A 316 coastal grade Stainless Steel ‘Nitro’ handle provides an attractive touchpoint for the doors.
Flush Casement Windows
A selection of flush casement windows in various formations feature throughout all the residences on this development, framing and opening up the views beyond. In contrast to the ‘Jet Black’ exterior finish, the ‘Signal White’ interior colour provides an easy backdrop for decoration, while a satin chrome Teardrop handle offers an elegant finishing touch.
