“We previously owned the house next door which included its own private woodland to the side and rear. We wanted to maximise the potential of this land and build a new home for ourselves” comments Mrs Marsh when describing this recently completed, new build property in the Kent countryside.
After selling the original house on the site and retaining the additional land, planning permission was gained allowing the Marsh family to plan and build their ideal family home. “We wanted to achieve a traditional appearance with a warm atmosphere, that also boasts the modern-day advantages of a new build property” Mrs Marsh comments.
Mr Marsh was meticulous in his attention to detail in every aspect of the planning of the home. When researching potential avenues for their windows and doors, he looked into various suppliers and material options to find the most appropriate fit. After meeting with a member of the Dale team and seeing the products first hand, the Dale range stood head and shoulders above the rest and were specified for the project.
Traditionally styled French doors, flush casement windows and entrance doors were selected and installed across the property. Partnered with classic Monkeytail handles, the windows have a timeless ‘Signal White’ finish with the front door finished in ‘Agate Grey’, creating a lovely entrance.
The works on the home are now complete and the end result has perfectly achieved the desired traditional aesthetic. The private woodland area was also split, and a portion was sold to a property development company. Now complete, 3 new generously sized detached properties have already been eagerly snapped up by discerning buyers.
