The Project
In the beautiful South Downs national park, an extensive redevelopment of Orchard Barns has been undertaken by locally renowned property developers, King and Drury. The Orchard Barns plot is a collection of 4 beautifully styled, contemporary family homes, located in a rural setting close to the cathedral city of Chichester.
Historically, Orchard Barn was one home with its own private orchard and tennis courts. After falling into a state of disrepair, the home has been magnificently renovated, with land converted and transformed into 3 new properties. While the newly finished works are of a contemporary style, the 250-year-old chestnut tree at the rear of the main property remains in place, retaining its beautiful, landscaped garden.
High quality and luxury living are prevalent in all four properties. All feature large open plan kitchen and dining areas, as well as designer bathrooms and inbuilt home audio systems, just to name a few benefits.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, 3 of the 4 properties were snapped up by eager buyers, shortly after being marketed for sale. The high-quality finish combined with the picturesque South Downs landscape presents a truly great opportunity for discerning buyers.
Entrance Doors
To allow for plenty of natural light and a contemporary style, new Chichester style entrance doors were specified on 3 of the plots. The new doors have large sidelights to maximise the light flowing into the home and are dual coloured, with ‘Stone Grey’ externally and ‘Pure White’ internally.
Flush Casement Windows
Across all four plots, beautiful flush casement windows were also specified in the same dual colour finish as the new doors. The Stone Grey finish contributes towards the contemporary appearance that King & Drury strived to accomplish and complement the mix of brick and larch cladding finish.
Bi-Fold Doors
Across all 4 plots, a mixture of 5 panel and 6 panel bi-fold doors were installed in the new homes' living areas. The stunning new doors maximise both natural light that flows into the room as well as opening up the living space into the plots generously sized gardens, ideal for family living.
