READ MOREEverything you need to know about when you should order timber windows for your new build or replacement project!
Whether you’re looking to purchase timber windows for your self-build project or replace your existing windows on your property, this article focuses on everything you need to know when ordering timber windows.
Timber windows are highly sustainable, naturally insulating, and can last for years to come. It’s important to note that buying poor quality timber products can have a detrimental effect on the look and feel of your property. This is why at Dale Joinery, we pride ourselves on high-quality performance and design to ensure our timber windows add value to your investment.
We understand that the timing is crucial for installing new or replacement timber windows. Lead times ultimately measure the amount of time from initiating the process to completing the process. This refers to first placing the order of your windows right through to completion when you receive them, and they are installed.
When ordering bespoke timber windows, you need to pay attention to the lead times to ensure they’re in line with your project. First, we’ll walk you through our process to provide an insight into how we work.
Consultation
The initial consultation is where we discuss your project, specifications and requirements. We have an experienced team who are passionate about understanding your needs, budget and overall, what you’re hoping to achieve with your new windows so they can advise accordingly on what would be best for your property. We use drawings and measurements to produce a quote before proceeding any further.
Visiting you on-site
We undertake a personal, attentive approach. We don’t limit ourselves or our customers to just telephone and emails. Our team of dedicated experts ideally visit you on-site to dive into more detail about your project. With experience and vast knowledge in self-builders, new builds and other development projects, it enables us to offer only the best advice and guidance.
Design approval
The chances are that if you are looking for custom made timber windows, you know to some extent what kind of design you’re looking for. Our process gives you complete control of the design, from choosing the preferred colour to the style and any necessary extras such as window handles to give the window an incredible finish. Our windows feature many traditional and contemporary properties throughout the UK.
Craftsmanship
We possess state of the art manufacturing facilities that helps us to produce a beautiful but superior range of windows that boast expert craftsmanship. Because our windows are all made to order, this means our lead times may be a little longer, but it’s a worthwhile wait to have something that has been carefully crafted just for you and your home.
The windows are painted or stained with a multi-layer protection system that is standard with glazing on all of our windows.
Delivery
The windows leave the factory fully finished, but our team carries out comprehensive checks before being sent out for delivery. All of our trucks are equipped with forklifts so that we can safely and securely unload the windows for you.
While many factors contribute to lead times, such as the scale of your project and custom specifications, the average lead time for custom made timber windows is around 10 weeks after you have placed your order. This will reduce slightly over the coming months to around 8-9 weeks.
At Dale Joinery, we pride ourselves in creating the ultimate timber window and door for you. We carefully source all parts of our frame and only use the best materials to guarantee product security, quality and longevity.
