Timber Options

We manufacture windows in both softwood and hardwoods, typically either redwood (softwood) or meranti, oak or idigbo (Hardwoods). If you would like your window manufactured using other woods, please contact us and we will advise you what is possible.

Hardwoods have an open pore structure which can produce a pitted effect when painted, but they do have beautiful grain which is highlighted when stained and has a wonderful patina with a translucent finish. Softwoods have a smoother finish which is idea for taking paint, and if stained the grain is more subtle.
