NEW HEADQUARTERS OPEN AS NATIONWIDE SALES AND MERCHANT NETWORK GROW CONSIDERABLY
Here at Dale 2014 was an extremely busy and successful year for us, so much so that it has resulted in our moving to a new purpose-built headquarters as a base for further nationwide expansion.
Having enjoyed successful and consistent growth over the last 4 years as the market for timber windows and doors in the UK has expanded, we saw significant gains in 2014 in particular.
In addition to turnover rising by 40%, our UK-wide merchant customer base increased by 35%. Sales also increased significantly across the year resulting in the decision to move to a new purpose built, eco-friendly head office on the outskirts of Swindon.
Despite the move to new headquarters, we are retaining our extensive show home for builders and consumers at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre, just off Junction 16 of the M4 where visitors are able to see our full range of windows and doors (including bi-folds, French and sliding patio, in addition to entrance doors).
“2014 was a really positive year of growth for us and we were delighted not only with our sales and turnover figures but just as importantly the development of our merchant network. The move to new headquarters is a reflection of our growth, the growth in the market and our desire to continue to be a major name in the UK timber window and door industry, with a service to match the quality of our products,” said Richard Chapman, Dale’s Sales Director.
“The picture and shape of the market has been changing towards timber for the past 5 years, each year seeing more momentum and growth at both new build and refurbishment levels within our business. Consumer demand is being largely driven on the refurbishment side of the market whilst in new build, builders understand the quality features that buyers are looking for and that has been increasingly the case with timber particularly in the larger single property or two, three, four property developments where the emphasis is on quality and style,” he added.
For Greg Smith of St Edmunds Developments who has recently completed a £2 million development of four family properties featuring a range of our front doors, sash windows and Bi-fold door sets, finding the right quality was vital for him.
“The Dale products may be a little more expensive but the quality throughout is excellent, and the guarantees they come with covering the paint and woodwork also give extra peace of mind. The products arrive on site on time and ready to fit, which is a boon when you have a team there specifically to undertake the install,” said Greg.
